holds a medium bag of dry dog food while being easy to pick up by the helper-handle. Has a substantial pull-up pourer spout. Made of heavy duty materials to be very durable but light weight. I would buy this item again and again. You will not find a more solid dog food container on the market.

Charcoal Briquettes Bin

First, this bin in robust. It is solidly built and can withtstand living in the tough environment of a garage or shed. It will keep the charcoal dry if left out in the rain. The handle is easily strong enough to carry the container when full of briquettes. I recommend it as the build quality engenders confidence and I believe it will have a long useful life. The reason for a loss of a star: 1) The pouring spout isn’t as useful as it looks. The way its built and slots into the lid don’t allow for an easy clean pour. 2) The lid snaps down well, but if held upside down and shaken (as when trying to get the briquettes to come out of the spout) the lid can let go and all of charcoal will come out.

I cannot completely knock this product. It is sturdy, durable, etc. The only complaint that i have is the label on the container states that its great for pet food. When we bought it for our dog food, the inside smell was horrible even after washing it out and airing it out. It ruined a huge bag of dog food by transferring the scent on the food (thank goodness its BPA free). Contacted the company about this issue and wondered if it was a general problem or complaint and received the following response: The Big Daddy is not really intended for dog or cat food storage. It will work for "some" pet foods (small animals, reptiles, birds, etc.) also for farm feed and wild bird seed it will work fine. They do, however, sell other brands that are available at walmart and pet stores that do not have the scent and are for pets. Just want to to warn all pet owners that this product is not intended for everything they think by the label.
