I love this OXO Simply Tear Paper Towel Holder. It is much better than I expected. It matches my decor in my kitchen of stainless steel and black. It tears off paper towels very easily, simple to load the paper towels onto the pole, and it stays in place not sliding around on the counter like other paper towel holders do. It cleans up very well with stainless steel cleaner. The arm on the paper towel holder is a very nice feature to this product, holding the paper towels securely and making tearing off the paper towels a simple task.
I read several great reviews on this item. I am very pleased with it and would buy it again.

I bought one of these from a brick & mortar store so I was able to check the tension on the spring-activated arm and choose the best of the twelve on display (so I don’t think this is a ""lemon"" problem). I was very disappointed that the arm did not hold the towels securely enough to allow one hand use. I tried loading the roll both ways, positioning the arm at various degrees from the ""vector of pull"", and changing the direction and force of pull. It never worked for me - I always needed two hands to get just one sheet. Since another reviewer loved this item, I suppose the twelve I looked at could all be from a bad batch but I doubt it. I gave up and ordered the Perfect Tear Standing Paper Towel Holder available on this site and love it - it works for me.
