Fantastic product for a small 1920’s home
Jun 23, 2009
My husband and I had been searching for a way to maximize our very small closet in the master bedroom of our bungalow, built in 1920 when people had fewer clothes, I suppose. This pull down closet rod (which my husband calls "the gizmo") was the perfect solution. It installed quite easily, though he had to build a support wall on one side and we were initially worried that it would not be sturdy enough. However, everything worked out beautifully and we now have a closet that looks very professional and stores all of our clothes in a well-organized manner. Thank you for making this product available to those of us who are blessed to have older homes with small closets!

Even Mom Can Install
Dec 15, 2008
I ordered this unit to help organize my 12 year son’s room which is unusually small with limited closet space. I got the idea from a $50,000 closet organization I saw on TV. I found this unit and ordered it. It arrived without any hassle and I installed it myself fairly easily using a good power drill. No unusual tools were needed, no difficult laborious measuring and/or handling required. The unit is now in. It looks wonderful and serves its purpose! My son is pleased and so am I. It’s made an upper cabinet functional which was previously completely unuaccessible to either of us (I’m only 5’1"" tall and he’s shorter). I just sent the link to my Dad because he wants to see the sytems for himself as he might have use for one as well. Definitely friendly to a non-contractor type. (Although, I should admit that I am fairly handy and very good with a drill).

An ingenious solution

This product is a brilliant solution to adding hanging space in a closet environment. I needed about 40" of hanging space for less often used shirts but had no wall space available. This device allows storage of hanging items at ceiling height and they simply pull down and out for eye level access using a handle. The system is spring loaded, so little effort is required to pull it down or push it up again. At first I thought the permanantly attached handle would be an eyesore, but it becomes covered by the clothes on the rod. I only had one wall available to connect to, so I attached an 8" X 6’ board to my dresser to form the other supporting side. Then added a 3’ X 8" connecting board on top using 4 "L" brackets. This system is ideal for me and is way cool to show others.

Tie/Belt Rack

Well made, nice Finnish on the wood, excellent chrome plating on the pegs. Comes with screws and wallboard anchors. I was looking for a smaller rack for the corner of my new walk-in closet and this fit the bill perfectly.

Pull Down Closet Rod

Very cool and fairly easy to install. I installed this in a walk in closet, and it does require some clearance on pull down. That is, you need to take into consideration the standing space for you when the rod is pulled down. Good luck!

Turned our closet into a swan
Nov 22, 2010
We have a very difficult closet situation (closet too small, some rods required a very tall ladder to reach) and this turned our closet from an ugly duckling into a swan. A brilliant solution. Easy to install and perfection. Thank you.

Adjustable pull-down rod

Nice sturdy product. I was worried it could not be cut down to a narrow closet, but I trimmed 4 inches off without a problem. Can probably be as narrow as 18" if needed. The pull-down rod could be longer.

48" Rod

I designed two closets for my apartment using three 48” Tie-Rods. Each of the rods used 36” of 48” length. They already there for three year and I am pretty happy with. It was only ones the Tie-Rod broke down because of unparallel movement of two sides. I repaired it and found that the damage accrues because screws, which holding together plastic parts were too short. I change the screws on all the rods and extended their life time.

Like the pull down rod. Makes for great storage BUT my clothes slide all over the pole and squish together. I am looking for some snap-on plastic dividers for the chrome pole to keep the hangers from sliding together. Any ideas where to find them?

We would have to use a ladder to reach the clothes. This is a dream to pull rod down to a level that can be usable. THANK YOU!

Instead of jumping up to retrieve from or throw clothes onto the 8 ft. high shelf we pull the rod down to easily retrieve and rehang clothes that are no longer full of wrinkles from being improperly and haphazardly stored.

3 Months and still can’t use it.

Purchased two of these for our new home. Had to repurchase a longer handle as the 3 foot one was not long enough. Did not come with screws or a handle to pull down.Company states the handles have to be ordered separately and will not take original short handles back. Have to be as strong as an amazon to pull these things down. Still am unable to put clothes up on this turkey.
