For your convenience, the whelping box bedding can be trimmed to the size of your whelping box, once cut the edges will not fray. Newspaper can be easily shredded by puppies, not to mention it's not absorbent. The drymate whelping box liner will adhere to the surface of your whelping box, and creates an area that the puppies can get enough grip to stand up without the material getting stuck in their nails. The whelping box liner has a waterproof backing that prevents leaks from reaching the floor.
