Some assembly is required on arrival before you can install the mailbox post. To install, pound a standard 4 x 4 wood post (not included) into the ground where you wish to place the mailbox post, and then slide said post over the wooden board. You can then mount your mailbox (not included) to the single support arm in the front to keep it within easy reach for your mail carrier. A built-in newspaper holder under the arm offers additional convenience.
