Full-extension metal glides are mounted underneath the bottom of the wooden shelf to take up less space, and it provides a clean and seamless appearance to your cabinet interior. The ball-bearing slides allows the wooden shelf to slide smoothly out of the cabinet, and the soft-close hardware ensures the shelf does not make noise when pushed back into the cabinet.
Since the ball-bearing slides are mounted underneath the shelf, you can install it right to the bottom of your existing cabinet shelf with four screws. Simply measure your the opening of your cabinet width and round down to the nearest 1/2 inch to determine the width of shelf you need. The 18 inch depth is designed to work well with custom cabinets in the kitchen or standard cabinets in the bathroom.
