Designing Your Basket System
The Stor-Drawer Basket Systems are easy
to design in three easy steps. To design your system simply measure the space you have available. Keep in mind you want to look
at the frame and crossbar dimensions as they will be slightly larger than the baskets. The baskets have lips around the top which
slide in the frame runners. The dimensions listed for the baskets are the top outside measurements. They do taper down slightly
at the bottom.
|
Step 1: Select A Frame
Select a frame size that will fit your height and depth.
Remember you can stack frames if you need to go higher. If you use frames you do not need glides or runners.
Use either a standard or compact frame, based on the depth of the space you have.
|
Step 2: Select The Crossbars
Select a crossbar set to fit your available width. If you do not plan to stack frames, choose the
Standard Crossbars in your choice width. If you need to stack frames for a taller basket system,
you will need both the Standard Crossbars and the Stacking Crossbars in you choice width.
|
Step 3: Select The Baskets
Now that you have your frame built, you need to fill it with baskets. Simply use the same width, or Series Number, of baskets
as you chose for your Crossbars. The Standard Depth baskets will work with the Standard Depth Frames. If you chose the Compact
Depth Frame, use the Mini Series baskets. For the Compact Frame you can also use the Series 16 basket; just turn the basket
so the 21" side is in front and use a Series 20 Width Crossbar.
|
Example:
If you selected a 10-runner frame you need to select a combination of baskets that will add up to 10. For example: you could select two 1-runner baskets, one
2-runner basket and two 3-runner baskets or you could select ten 1-runner baskets. You
simply need to have the basket numbers equal the number of runners in the frame. If you
choose to stack two 7-runner frames you would select a basket combination that add up to
14. Note when stacking frames there is a crossbar between the frames so you
can not have a basket fall between the frames (fill each frame individually).

Using Runners or Glides
The basket runners are used to mount baskets inside a cabinet or under a shelf. It is a U-channel that the basket lip slides
into. The basket glides connect to the bottom of a basket, and can be mounted to a shelf, or inside a cabinet.
|
Most of the accessories can be used with all the basket system sizes. The drawer runners and basket glides are
used with the baskets separately. Each runner or
glide is used with one basket.
