Spin your salad onto the table. This OXO Salad Spinner quickly and gently dries lettuce, spinach, and other greens with a spinning feature that removes water from the leaves. The spinners are also ideal for washed berries and vegetables. Use the small salad spinner to dry a salad for two or to prepare your favorite herbs. Available in two sizes, the salad spinner features the OXO ingenuity that you love. Both sizes feature the soft, good grips handle and a patented pump mechanism that spins you salad with a simple push. A patented brake lets you stop the basket to unload it, and a non-slip ring keeps the bowl steady on the counter top. The soft knob locks down for convenient storage. The bowl and interior basket can be used separately. The large size bowl capacity is 6 1/4 quarts and basket capacity is 5 quarts. The small size bowl capacity is 3 quarts with a basket capacity of 2 1/2 quarts.

I love the Oxo salad spinners! I already had the large one, but the mimi is great when you are making salad for just one or two people. I had purchased a mimi a couple of years ago, so recently ordered a second one for my daughter. The new one has some improvements over the one I have, and may be slightly larger. I like that the top can be taken apart for easier cleaning. This is a very sturdy bowl, and it does an excellent job in spinning the lettuce dry. The locking button to lock down the push top on the new one is not quite as sturdy as on my old one, however, so I am not sure if it will hold up as well. I would strongly recommend this Oxo mimi spinner to anyone.

This salad-o-holic used to trust prewashed lettuce in bags until I had two bad experiences finding pieces of various bugs in salads. Also, I hate damp, wimpy lettuce. Now I am spoiled and wont eat any greens until I use the OXO to wash them. Sturdier than others, this spinner is easy to use, even for someone like my mother who has rheumatoid arthritis. The lettuce comes out clean and dry and much better tasting. If stored properly lasts much longer, thus saving money. I have both the small and large and use the small for herbs and smaller green items or fruit.
