These fit perfectly on the door and stretch tight to be secure. The hooks stay in place and can even fit two purses on each.

Great Idea, but...

These purse racks are a great idea but they need some improvement. Mine will not stretch the length of the door and the metal "U" clip that goes over the top of door needs to be sturdier/heavier as it is too lightweight and will sometimes bend/pull off because of the weight of handbags; thus it has resulted in all my handbags to come tumbling to the floor and on me. I now check/adjust the top and secure it when removing and replacing my handbags.

These adjustable door purse racks fit nice and snug on the door. However, the only problem with the item is that the hooks themselves are not very sturdy. Any sudden tug to remove a purse or too much weight will snap the plastic pieces. You can find suitable replacements that work better and are more sturdy...but they obviously do not come with. Overall, I am pleased with the idea itself.

Not fabulous...but better than nothing

I love the concept of the purse organizer and searched several different sites before choosing to purchase this one, which seemed to be the best value (I figured the basic idea would be the same no matter which one I chose). I found it very easy to install and it came basically as described (black strap, the hooks over my door are a brushed nickel finish). However, the plastic purse hooks are...well...lousy. It takes the weight of the purse to get the hook to grab onto the nylon strap so that it doesn’t slide down, so I find that my lighter purses aren’t heavy enough on their own to anchor the purse hook to keep it from sliding down. Also, the shape of the purse hooks don’t allow for broader purse straps to fit into the ""u"" of the hook, so they just have to rest across it, and they won’t stay on if I don’t close my door gently (which, of course, then makes the little hook slide down the strap). This particular organizer is disappointing in that it only works for about half of my purses, but it works fine for the purses that do have a narrow enough strap and that do have enough weight...It has freed up half a shelf in my closet, with is always a welcome thing:). I wonder if some of the other available products, for a few dollars more, might offer a better quality? If it is this or nothing, though, I am glad to have this one.

Was a fan but . . .

I purchased my second set of purse racks, but was not quite as happy with the product this go-round. Similar to Purse Addict, the hook would not stay in place at the top of the door and my bags kept tumbling down into a heap. Fortuanately, one of the initial purse straps was still in good order, so I am re-using an old one and the good new one. Additionally, the hooks should be made of sturdier material. Overall I am satisfied with the space saving organization of the purse racks.

The actual rack was a nice design however it didn’t fit my door and wasn’t able to stretch enough to go over the top and the bottom at the same time. I ended up hanging purses on it and just moving the door slowly so it wouldn’t swing fast - since it wasn’t attached at the bottom. Maybe given time it will stretch but right now the bottom or top flies off when I try to put both ends on.

I brought this but can only hang my small-med size purses on the rack. I was looking for something to hang all my purses (small, med, large)...I’m continuing to search.

This storage device is great in concept...I was so excited when this came only to be disappointed. Our doors are about 1.5 inches wide so the hook wouldn't fit initially. We've had this issue before and have been able to slightly bend the hooks to fit without a problem. These hooks are crap- they just snapped and broke so unfortunately, i can't return it. On the other hand, I'm kind of glad because leather purses, which most of mine are, shouldn't be stored in that manner- they should be stuffed with tissues and stored in a fabric bag- out of direct sunlight. Another thing that I wanted to add is that this thing looks very cheap. Kind of like something you would find in a box of camping gear. It would feel wrong to hang a bag that's under $200 on this.
