Very well made piece of hardware. Quiet, smooth working mechanism. Not only putting a block in front but also one on top of the hardware makes it easier to install, I used liquid nails to secure the blocks. I would also recommend another pair of hands to hold the hardware in place to line up the screw holes and attach it to the base cabinet

Mixer lifts

Ordered two sets of lifts back in early June. The lifts are a good heavy duty product and can handle the largest of the KitchenAid mixers easily. The only problem I have with it is the plastic finger handles. They are extremely cheap and don't compare to the quality of the lifts themselves. One handle came in already broken and another broke within three days of use. It would be nice if they put a better (perhaps wooden) handle on it; for this reason, I'm only giving it a 4.

This was a replacement for a similar but lighter piece of hardware that wore out in our house after 15 years. This particular lift hardware appeared to be the sturdiest available and it is very sturdy.
Instructions for installation were very good but the actual locating and drilling of the side holes was very difficult as was inserting the screws. I’d make a TEMPLATE for the side bracket and have a better light if I were doing it again.
Works fine and I’m very pleased.
