Store Assistant Manager

We're looking for a retail professional with some team leader experience to help run operations in our Shelby Township retail store and help increase sales. As an Assistant Manager you will manage store activities including staff, inventory and merchandising. This full-time, salaried position requires 45 hours per week during our store hours. This position will work closely with our Store Manager and be a vital part of our retail team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage all aspects of store operations to ensure outstanding customer service and a fantastic experience.
  • Coaching team members to help improve sales and average order value.
  • Scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assist with visual merchandising efforts.
  • Maintain inventory control and ensure store is stocked appropriately.
  • Open and close store.
  • Maintain accurate accounting reports and register balancing.
  • Keep Management informed of issues and trends to help ensure a good product mix.


The ideal candidate would possess the following:
  • At least 1-2 years of retail sales experience and pervious team leader experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not necessary with related experience.
  • Good computer and sales skills.
  • A desire to make customers happy.
  • Good communication and management skills.

We're looking for a customer service pro with some team leader experience to run operations in our customer service department and help increase sales. As a Customer Service Manager you will manage our customer service staff and our after-hours call center. This full-time, salaried position requires 45 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday during normal business hours. This position will work out of our Rochester Hills, MI offices and will be a vital part of our team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage all aspects of our Customer Service team to ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Coaching team members to help improve sales and average order value.
  • Take escalation calls from both staff and after hours call center.
  • Develop standards and policies to ensure consistent service levels.
  • Overseeing and managing our after-hours call center to ensure consistent service levels.
  • Taking customer service calls as needed and providing outstanding support.
  • Keeping Management informed of issues and trends to help ensure good content and merchandising.


The ideal candidate would possess the following:

Job Title: Assistant Installer

Assistant Installer - Responsible for helping with our custom closet/cabinet installations. This individual will be responsible for cutting and pulling jobs as well as assisting with the installations in customer's homes. Additional responsibilities include: shipping orders, processing Fed Ex labels, unloading trucks, receiving merchandise, and stocking shelves.

Our ideal candidate must be organized, dependable, hardworking, honest and self motivated. We are seeking an individual who is physically fit and is easily able to lift 50 lbs. without limitations. We want a career minded individual who is willing to learn and become an Installer that we could send out on their own. Must know the basics about woodworking and working with hand tools. Some closet or cabinet installation experience would be helpful but not required as we are willing to train the right person.

Organize-It is a sixteen year old company specializing in custom closet systems along with storage and organization products. The company has experienced strong growth in sales and we are looking for permanent team member to help us continue on this course. We have one 7800 square foot retail showroom in Shelby Township and a warehouse in Rochester Hills. This position would work out of our Showroom location. We also operate e-commerce web sites. Job Title: Closet Salesperson

Closet Salesperson - Responsible for both inside and outside closet, garage, office and storage shelving sales. The chosen individual will go through a training period where they will primarily be performing inside sales while learning design basics and our design programs. Through the use of various computer aided design tools this individual will provide customers with a workable storage solution for their home or office and manage the installation process if needed. Night and weekend work is required as you can only close a sale when the customer is available.

Our ideal candidate must be organized, hardworking, computer literate, self-motivated and able to multi-task. This is a perfect position for a people person who enjoys design or has an interior design background. We are seeking an individual with at least some college, outstanding people skills and a desire to close sales. Previous closet sales experience would be helpful but we are willing to train the right candidate who is willing to learn and make this a career. Position will start as hourly but will migrate to a base salary plus commission after training. Therefore sales tracking will be a key component of the position.
