Learning Inner Productivity

innerproductivityThere have been so many great books written which give us the tools, tips and tricks for getting things done in an organized and efficient way. And they have been so helpful for me. But there are still times when I find myself procrastinating or avoiding certain tasks, even though I have the skills to conquer them, and not really understanding why I’m putting them off. Does this happen to you?

Well, I found a fantastic book that is helping me address exactly that. Inner Productivity by Christopher R. Edgar is an insightful journey into the “why” of my lifelong struggle with procrastination. Instead of teaching how to force ourselves through the process of tackling the things we avoid, Mr. Edgar takes us through simple exercises to identify the sources of these feelings, and steps to change our way of thinking about them so that we can recreate ourselves from the inside, choosing a new perspective. This book is a “whole-life” approach to organization that I hadn’t realized was possible.

For all of you who are still slaves to procrastination and avoidance, this book is for you – you’ve learned to clear the clutter around you, now it’s time to conquer the clutter within.
