How Setting Limits Creates Abundance

simplicityAbundance.
1. an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply.
2. overflowing fullness: abundance of the heart.
3. affluence; wealth: the enjoyment of abundance.
Most of us already have abundance in one or more areas of our lives. If you have abundance in all the areas you want, good for you! If you don’t, try setting limits to help create it. It may sound counterintuitive, but I believe setting limits to create abundance is not only possible, but necessary, and here’s why…
It takes time and energy to focus on the things — whatever they may be for you — that will bring you abundance. But when you squander your precious time and energy on day-to-day chaos, disorganization, time crisis and stress, you have less time and energy to give to the things that will create the space and abundance you desire. Limiting and eliminating the things you allow in your life that don’t support your goals, dreams and desires will open up the time, space and energy for your highest priorities and to create the abundance you want. In a nutshell: to receive more, do less.
Less of the things that stress you out, less keeping up with those dang Joneses, less stretching your time until it’s see-through, less over-committing yourself, less worrying, less trying to be perfect, less rushing, less glossing over the important parts of your life to get quickly to the trivial parts…
I believe if you do less of these sort of things and do more sleeping, more deep breathing, more investing in your self-growth, more thoughtful, deliberate action in the areas that are important to you, if you set more boundaries and you get more focused, as well as connect with more people who support you, the more abundance you’ll create.[LG]Here are some organizers to help simplify your life![/LG]
