Organize-It welcomes holiday shopping season with lowered shipping rates

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – The storage and organization retailer, Organize-It, has recently lowered their U.S. ground shipping rates again by approximately ten percent. Additional concessions from small parcel carriers allowed the home goods supplier to make this cut and pass along savings to customers. This change comes in addition an earlier seven percent drop in shipping costs that Organize-It made in June of this year.

Organize-It knows that most customers, “prefer lower shipping [costs] as opposed to expedited [shipping],” and hopes that customers will take advantage of the savings, said Warehouse Manager Todd Parent.

Results from the Pitney Bowes’ 2015 Holiday Shipping Survey show that Organize-It customers are not alone. Eighty-eight percent of online shoppers value price over speed in regard to shipping. With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, Organize-It recognizes customer’s ever important need to save money.

The same survey found that shoppers are planning to spread out their purchases across the entire season. Parent said that the holiday influx typically picks up around the tail end of October.  With this in mind, Organize-It is glad to implement this reduction now to best accommodate customers this coming holiday season.shipping

Red wine hot chocolate makes the problems melt away

Sometimes a stressful day calls for taking the wine down off the rack. Sometimes it calls for chocolate. And sometimes it calls for both.

This decadent recipe is perfect for unwinding on a cold. gloomy weekend — or makes for a great after meal drink for dinner guests.

Red Wine Hot Chocolate

1 1/2 cup milk (You can use regular cow’s milk or go dairy-free with almond, soy, coconut, hemp — whatever makes you happy)
1 cup red wine (your choice)
1/3 dark chocolate, roughly chopped (you can use chips too — but avoid opting for powder)

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add milk and chocolate. Whisk slowly until combined. Then pour in your wine and continue to stir until everything is nice and hot. That’s it! Simple. This recipe can fill about two large mugs, but the rich flavor is great for sipping so you can share it with up to six people if you opt for smaller portions.
